About Hamilton AI

Hamilton AI is creating the operating system for business aviation. Unlike commercial aviation, business aviation lives in the dark ages, think emails, phone and spreadsheets that run most of the operations of operators from 2 aircraft to 1,000 aircraft.

Hamilton is here to change that. We offer a fully vertically integrated platform that runs business operations at our customers. Our AI agents are the first point of contact for quote requests and we run these quote requests from A to Z. Think quoting, flight scheduling and optimization, route planning, aircraft tracking, payment processing, and back-office invoicing and payroll.

Our production customers are successfully moving from a suite of 20+ applications into one, unlocking valuable data that Hamilton AI leverages with its machine learning models designed to optimize routing, flight times, crew scheduling, flight scheduling, and more.

Team

Hamilton AI is founded by Wouter Witvoet, who previously founded Secfi.com ($1.5bn AUM) and went on to take his second business public called DeFi Technologies, listed on the NASDAQ under DEFT with a market cap of $1.2bn. Other members are ex-Dropbox, Square, Airlabs, PagerDuty, Playbook, Walt Disney, Getaround, and NASA JPL.

Where We’re At

From January to March 2025, we took part in HF0 Residency—one of the world’s most exclusive programs for repeat founders, backed by Google, Andreessen Horowitz, and visionary investors like Naval Ravikant. In just 90 days, we made a year’s worth of progress—both in product development and real-world results.

Concretely:

We went from $150K to $1.5MM in ARR with both small and large enterprises.Raised $7.2M across two rounds most recently February 2025

Funded by leading VCs, including Bling Capital, TTV Capital, Cambrian VC, FJ Labs, Correlation VC, HF0, Mintaka Ventures, Weekend Fund

Where will we be in three months? That’s up to us. At Hamilton, you won’t just watch the future unfold—you’ll shape it.

The Role (but you’ll probably make it your own)

At Hamilton AI, we tackle the challenges others overlook—the ones that require relentless curiosity, persistence, and deep problem-solving. Is it easy? Not at all. In fact, it’s often near impossible.

That’s why motivation here goes beyond just driving efficiency, building innovative solutions, or optimizing operations. We’re here to transform workflows and improve the lives of the people behind them.

As an AI Engineer at Hamilton AI, you will play a central role in developing and deploying AI-driven solutions that power automation, decision-making, and optimization in private aviation. You will work closely with engineering, product, and data science teams to build scalable AI applications that solve complex industry challenges.

This role is highly technical and hands-on, requiring strong machine learning expertise, software engineering skills, and the ability to move fast in a production environment. You’ll work with LLMs, data pipelines, and AI-powered automation to drive innovation across our platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and optimize AI models for real-world applications, with a focus on Gen AI, NLP, and predictive analytics.
  • Design and implement LLM-powered workflows, automation tools, and data-driven insights.
  • Build scalable, production-ready AI systems, integrating machine learning models into our core platform.
  • Work with large-scale data pipelines to process, analyze, and extract insights from aviation-related data.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to deploy AI solutions that enhance customer experience.
  • Continuously improve AI performance, balancing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

What We Value

  • Engineering mindset—focused on building and deploying real-world AI solutions, not just research.
  • Strong problem-solving skills—applying AI to high-impact, operational challenges.
  • Cross-functional collaboration—working with engineers, product leaders, and customers.
  • Scalability & efficiency—designing AI models that are optimized for performance in production.
  • Passion for AI & automation—pushing the limits of LLMs, NLP, and predictive modeling.

What We Require

  • Experience developing and deploying AI solutions, particularly with LLMs and Gen AI.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning (evaluation, training, problem decomposition).
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python / Node, TypeScript, or similar languages.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines, analytics, and model deployment.
  • Deep understanding of NLP, reinforcement learning, or optimization algorithms.
  • Ability to translate AI research into scalable, production-ready applications.

Bonus Points

✅ Experience in AI-driven automation, optimization, or NLP.

✅ Well-versed in LangChain, LangGraph and similar technologies.

✅ Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).

✅ Previous exposure to aviation, logistics, or other logistics/optimization industries.
